A graveside service for Mrs. Jean Clanton of Duck Hill will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, at Bradford Chapel Cemetery near Gore Springs. Rev. Roger Jackson, Sr. will officiate the service.
Mrs. Clanton, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at her residence in Duck Hill. She was born, December 31, 1933, to Olcie Lee and Grace Nanney Mathis. Mrs. Clanton was a homemaker and a member of Community Baptist Church in Winona.
Mrs. Clanton is survived by her daughters, Sharon McAdams of Hobbs, NM and Debbie Lowe of Holcomb; son, Thomas Michael Clanton of Hondo, TX; sister, Opal Starks of Murray, KY; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Wood Clanton; two brothers; one sister; and three great-grandchildren.
