Patsy Bailey Boone

September 24, 1926 – February 7, 2026

Patsy was born September 24, 1926, to Clifford Bailey and Empress Campbell Bailey in Chicago, IL and departed this life February 7, 2026, in Oxford, MS.

Patsy moved to Tylertown, MS at a young age and discovered a love for playing the piano and continued to study music at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Her first job as a musician/pianist was in Holly Springs, MS at First Baptist Church where she met her husband of 66 years, Aubrey Boone.

Patsy and Aubrey married in 1951 and moved to Winona, MS in 1955. She was a homemaker and mom to their only child, Alan. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church and active in the community.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Empress Bailey and her husband, Aubrey Boone. She is survived by her son, Alan (Cindy), grandson, Gant (Jessica) and three great-grandchildren, Adele, Elizabeth Claire and Wells.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Winona, with Rev. Jay Anderson officiating the services. Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Pallbearers will be Alan Pratt, Dave Pratt, Ken Chandler, Bruce Branch, Joey Johnson, and Chris Herring.

  1. Alan – So sorry for ur loss. My mother and urs were kindred organists. Also, can’t tell U how many times I’ve shared story of our 1970 train trip to the Sugar Bowl. U, Jamie (and Bro Bailey) and I had our eyes opened on that trip. Great memories.
