Peggy Threet Parker

August 27, 1934 – April 28, 2024

Graveside services for Peggy Threet Parker of Watson, Louisiana, formerly of Weir, Mississippi will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, at New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery near Weir, Mississippi. The services will be performed by Rev. Randy Bridges.

Peggy Threet Parker, 89, passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 28, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Attala County, Mississippi August 27, 1934. Peggy enjoyed sewing, tending her flowers, and working in the yard.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ira “Buck” Threet; mother, Myrtle Morgan Jones; son, Gerald Parker; daughter, Brenda Parker; sisters, Eleanor Threet Lollar and Dorothy “Dot” Threet Hathcock; and brother, Warren J. “W. J.” Threet. She is survived by two daughters, Gwen Bailey (Roger) and Sharon Gunter (David); brother, Denton Threet; seven grandchildren, Jason Fox, Denver Parker, Jeremy Parker, Kimberly Height, Angela Fossett, Tori Owens, and Rebecca Bailey; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A special thank you to Jason and Christina Fox, as well as their three children, Braylea, Hayden, and Brooklyn for all the love and care shown to “Maw” in her later years.
