Randy Oliver Holt

Randy Oliver Holt, 72, passed away September 21, 2023, at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, TX. Born May 2, 1951, in Carrollton, MS, to parents JT and Bernice Holt, Randy was a life-long resident of Coila, MS, and member of Coila Baptist Church. He was a graduate of J.Z. George High School and Mississippi Delta Community College. He was the owner of H&H Logging for over 40 years and later spent several years as a truck driver for Lloyd Chism. Recently he moved to Midland, TX with his daughter after the passing of his wife.

Mr. Holt is survived by his sisters, Syliva Murphree of Coila, MS, Linda Bankston of Carrollton, MS, Mary Bell of Angleton, TX, and Cindy Stephens of Lake Jackson, TX; his daughter, Jennifer Holt Wiggins and son-in-law Billy Wiggins of Midland, TX; his son, Randy Jonathan Therrell Holt and daughter-in-law Amanda Holt of Coila, MS; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior Therrell Holt and Bernice Barrentine Holt; his wife, Deborah Elizabeth Stevens Holt and daughter, Laura Michelle Holt.

Visitation for Mr. Holt will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, from 1-3 pm at Oliver Funeral Home, followed by graveside service at Coila Cemetery in Coila, MS.

Bro. Terry Corley will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Billy Wiggins Jr., Joseph Beckwith, Sebastian Armit, Ryan Hilger, Jeremy Story, Jacob Murphree, Chatham Alford, and Walt Carver. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Holt, Billy Wiggins Sr., Bill Downs, and Gabriel Taylor.
