  1. ONE OF A KIND!!!! Uncle Bobby. The mere utterance of his name you knew you were going to have a good time! I will miss talking college football with him. We were surely going to trash talk each other the week of the Ole Miss/OU game, but no matter the outcome still have love for family & football! My heart breaks we don’t get too, but I KNOW you and my Mom Sarah Lou are both sitting in the best seats together alongside Uncle Billy watching not just the games but watching over us all who miss you all so, so, much! Things I also feel the need to say that I loved & remember when I think of you: The Gulf gas station in Vaiden you worked at. Mom always made sure we stopped by to see you on our way in and out of Vaiden. The house with the pool, pond and land. That house was a party! Significant events there: I danced in front of your jukebox and put on a show around age 8, I feel off one of your horses and had to go to the hospital over Christmas age 12, we swam across the pond me, Doug & Tally because of a dare, probably from Uncle Noggin & then y’all shot and killed several poisonous snakes! The 35-55 Truck Stop & Motel….HONEY BUNS WERE THE BEST! You and Aunt Rita running the place, me & Tally playing on the CB’s…. you took me deer hunting ONCE and that was enough since I can’t be quiet! As a young adult our time living together briefly in Columbus, thank you for the free room & board. And finally, as I know I could go on with the memories, your cabin in the woods. We all enjoyed it so much!!! There is one last thing must say, you praised my efforts for foster dogs and finding them new homes & twice gave me money to help with their care. That meant a lot to me, & I am still saving the dogs and puppies in this world. Love you so much and you will be missed Uncle Bobby.

    Your niece in OKLAHOMA!!!!! Susan.

  2. So very sorry to hear about Bobby. May each family member know the presence and strength of our Lord Jesus Christ during this time of loss and the days to follow. Rest in peace, my friend.

  3. As Susan said earlier, Bobby was definitely one of a kind! He has left me and my family with many great memories. Especially my youngest son Reid. Most of those memories were at the cabin in the woods. As you all know, he loved the kids. All kids. Family or not. He would have me and Reid out to the cabin along with Tally and Robert and Vincent for a weekend of fun. And boy were they fun. Reid was very young at the time. He learned how to bass fish there, and loves it to this day. There was also four wheeler riding, camp fires and of course great food. We all got excited when it was time to spend a weekend at the cabin. I remember vividly Reid asking me when we were going back over and over again. He loved it. As we got older, I remember the times we would spend sitting on the porch with Bobby in the rocking chairs. Mr. Bobby would talk to the boys mainly. He wanted to know what they were doing and catch up with them. He would also give them advice on life. That was really memorable for me. He cared. He also taught them how to work and respect the other people’s things while enjoying the cabin and all he had to offer. We will miss those special times with Bobby and family. He will be missed for sure. Rest in peace.

  4. Bobby was a friend for some 65 years. High school days were fun and there were many long talks and laughs. Time and space took us apart, so but when we saw each other it was as if time had stood still. You are one more person I will miss in Vaiden. Prayers for your family and friends .
