
Funeral services for Roy Winston Briscoe of Vaiden will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, at Vaiden Baptist Church, with burial following in Vaiden Cemetery. Rev. Terry Corley will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Franklin, Jimmy Webb, Clint Tompkins, Mark Havens, Durward Stanton, and Bradley Sanders.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 25, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home; and Thursday, June 26, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Roy Winston Briscoe, 81, passed away at Providence Assisted Living Center in Grenada on Sunday, June 22, 2025. He was born on February 4, 1944. He was a retired mailman of over 39 years and was a member of Vaiden Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Corley Briscoe of Vaiden; daughter, Janet Styron (Joe) of Cato, MS; son, Jeff Briscoe (Pam) of Gore Springs; sister, Debra Manuel of Winona; two brothers, Edward Lee Briscoe of Vaiden and George Power of Nevada; four grandchildren, Laura Beth Easterling (Blake), Brian Styron (Tori), Hannah Buchanan (Micheal), and Leah Grace Briscoe; four great-grandchildren, Macy Claire Chatham, Eli Easterling, Oaklee Styron, and Tanner Styron; several special nieces and nephews; and a host of loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Pauline Briscoe.

He was a good man and had such a kind heart and compassion for others.
