February 9, 1948 – April 19, 2024

Funeral services for Sally Holly Hodges of Winona will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 25, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in New Hope Cemetery in Winona. Rev. Tracy Putnam will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Darrell Dwayne “D.D.” Holly, Taylor Jaudon, Tyler Hood, Tanner Jaudon, Landon Masterson, and Wheeler Chandler. Honorary pallbearers will be Colton Skinner and Patrick Marter.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Oliver Funer Home.

Sally Holly Hodges, 76, passed away at The Magnolia at Oxford Commons in Oxford, MS on Friday, April 19, 2024. She was born in Vaiden, MS February 9, 1948. She was a member of North Winona Baptist Church. She enjoyed photography and working in her yard. She especially enjoyed tending to her flowers. She retired from Walmart after 34 years of service.

She is survived by daughters, Michelle Skinner (John) of Winona and Renea Masterson (Lee) of Batesville; sister, Nancy Holly Hatcher of Batesville; brother, Joe Holly of Durant; step-brother, Fredi Boll of TX; four grandchildren, Landon Masterson, Wheeler Chandler, Alaina Masterson and Colton Skinner; five nieces and nephews, Vicki Marter (Gene), Jennifer Hood (Randy); Holly Jaudon (Butch), Darrell Dwayne Holly (Jamie) and Matt Hodges (Myong); fifteen great nieces and great nephews; Patrick Marter, Tyler Hood, Tucker Hood, Tayler Jaudon, Tanner Jaudon, Caylei Jaudon, Hunter Holly, Hope Holly Armstrong, Hailey Holly, Hayden Holly, Hannah Holly, Landis Hodges, Clara Hodges, Parke Hodges and Cooper Hodges; and a special family member, Sonia Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her father, William Wheeler Holly; mother, Bessie Burchfield Holly Self; and husband, Don Richard Hodges of 57 years.

    I am very sorry to hear of Sally’s passing. We were high school classmates & graduates of VHS Class of 1966. Sally was a very sweet person. I pray God’s Peace, Comfort, Mercy, & Grace for all of you in the days to come. May God Bless each of you.
