A graveside service for Sonya Marie Curington of Duck Hill will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Eskridge Cemetery in Eskridge, MS. Rev. Terry Corley will officiate the service.
Sonya Marie Curington, 79, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Vaiden Community Living Center. She was born January 31, 1945, in Virginia to Granville Eugene and Virginia Louise Mullen Heath. She was a member of Eskridge Baptist Church. Prior to retiring, she worked as a nurse, a mail carrier, and in insurance.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Curington (Cassie) of Duck Hill and Mac Curington (Sherry) of French Camp; four grandchildren, Ryan Curington, Crystal Ray, Lindsey Hodges, Jacob Curington; four great-grandchildren, Kinley Kate Ray, Kambrie Ray, Cooper Hodges and Hoyt Curington; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Thomas Curington; and her sister, Sylvia Heyboer.
