Funeral services for Mrs. Sue Waddell Doubleday of Winona will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16 in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Eskridge Cemetery. Rev. Bud Vance will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Kyle Wiltshire, Corey Watson, Lee Doubleday, Jason Doubleday, Shawn Ware, and Bubba Mulcahy. Barry Lee Doubleday will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Doubleday, 82, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Vaiden Community Living Center. She was born June 3, 1939 to Wesley and Nina Barrett Waddell. She attended Eskridge Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Kimco. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Doubleday is survived by her daughter, Debra Doubleday of Winona; son, Tommy Doubleday (Candy) of Vaiden; sisters, Shirley Slater of Winona and Dot Grainger (Jim) of Hernando; brother, James “Buddy” Waddell (Joyce) of Raymond; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Thomas “Tom” Doubleday; her daughter, Brenda Jenkins; her brother, Billy Waddell; and her granddaughter, Michelle Doubleday.
