
Vance Evans Swindoll, 74, of Clinton, MS passed away on March 26,2026. Vance was born on December 7, 1951, in Winona, MS to the late XL and Ellen Swindoll. He worked many years as a salesman and then moved on to work for the State from which he retired. Vance was loved by many, to know him was to love him. By proof he was voted in as a cheerleader for his hometown school, the Winona Tigers. He moved to the Clinton Nursing and Rehab, where again, he made many friends and the nurses absolutely adored him.
Vance is survived by his daughter Melody (James) Watson of Forest, MS, Joseph Trent (Jessica) Swindoll of Carthage, MS. His brother Don (Carla) Swindoll of Collierville, TN. He had 5 grandsons Evans, Morgan and Jasper Watson, Wesley and Ryker Swindoll and two nephews Bruce Swindoll and David (Heather) Swindoll also of Collierville.
There will be a visitation for Vance on April 19th from 2 to 3 at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona followed by a service at 3. He will be buried at a later date at Mission Cemetery in Winona.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Mission Cemetery or to the American Cancer Society.
I am so sorry to hear about Vance. He was always outgoing and just a sweet guy. I voted for him to be cheerleader at WHS. I thought a guy would be a wonderful addition, and he was the right person for the job! I never knew where he went but I know he must have had a wonderful life. So sorry to his brother, children and friends. No doubt he is entertaining the Angels in Heaven. RIP Vance. You will be remembered by so many from Winona and other places.
