Funeral Services for Mrs. Virginia England Beckwith of Carrollton will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Providence Baptist Church in Carrollton, with Rev. Bennie Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Pallbearers will be B.W. Beckwith, Ben Beckwith, David Campbell, George Beckwith, Ronnie Moore, Pate Shackleford, and Mike Attkisson.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church.
Mrs. Virginia England Beckwith, 78, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Martha Coker Green House Homes in Yazoo City. She was born in Minnesota to Alfred George and Mrythe Bain England on March 3, 1945. She was a nurse and member of Providence Baptist Church in Carrollton.
Mrs. Beckwith is survived by her sons, Bruce Wayne Beckwith, Sr. (Connie) of Bentonia, and Ricky Beckwith (Sherry) of Yazoo City; brother, Joe Carpenter (Norma) of Counce, TN; grandchildren, B.W. Beckwith (Kassi) and Ben Beckwith (Hailey); step-grandson, Greyson Winstead; great-grandchildren, Sarah Kate Beckwith, Mary Beth Beckwith and Boone Beckwith; sister-in-law, Patricia Pittman; brothers-in-law, Jerry Beckwith (Debra Ann) and Larry Beckwith; granddaughter of John Calvin and Kate Newcomb Bain; and many precious cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Alex Bruce Beckwith and brother, Calvin Carpenter.

So sorry to hear this. I work with Virginia at Greenwood Leflore. She was always kind and sweet, with a pretty smile. I know she will be miss.

I am truely sorry to read about the loss of my friend. She will surely be missed by many. She was a very sweet and kind person. My prayers are for the family she leaves behind. Just keep the faith we will all be back with her one day. Love to all.
