
Funeral services for Mr. William R. “Billy” Johnson, of Winona, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Kilmichael Baptist Church, with burial following in Winona Garden of Memory. Dr. David Sartin will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Marshall Bennett, Lawrence Bennett, Collin Bennett, Talmadge Parker, Clay Hardin and Cole Henson.
Visitation will be Monday, June 21 from noon until service time at the church.
Mr. Johnson, 73, passed away at his home in Winona on Thursday, June 17, 2021. He was born on January 16, 1948 to James William and Alberta Davis Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Kilmichael Baptist Church, and an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He was a retired maintenance director for the Winona Housing Authority.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ilene Marie Fontaine Johnson; and brother David Wayne Johnson.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter, Tammy Johnson Inmon (Shane) of Carrollton; sons, James Robert Johnson (Brenda) of Independence, Aaron Ray Johnson (Elizabeth) of McCool, and Gary Wayne Shields (Amanda) of Mathiston; sister, Patsy Conlee of Hornlake; brothers, James “J.J.” Johnson and Jimmy Johnson of Southaven; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kilmichael Baptist Church, 205 N. Rutherford Drive, Kilmichael, MS 39747.
