Funeral services for Mr. Dickie Bridges, 77, of Madison, formerly of Winona, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bethsaida Baptist Church Cemetery in French Camp. Rev. Randy Bridges will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Ricky Bullard, Dale Brown, Jay Holly, Randy Smith, Chase Marlow, and Logan Beckwith.
Visitation will be Friday, March 7, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.
Mr. Bridges passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at his son’s residence in Madison, MS. He was born in Kilmichael, MS to James Richard and Margie Ann Dees Bridges on October 7, 1947. As a carpenter, Dickie loved woodworking. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing earlier in life. He was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church in French Camp.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Blount (Wade) of Bruce, Angie Tate of Myrtle and Tiffany Smith of Tennessee; son, Kevin Bridges (Shaunna) of Madison; sister, Deborah Knott; thirteen grandchildren: Luke Bridges, Darby Bridges, Heather Nail-Jenkins, Tyler Blount, Dusty Blount, Cody Blount, Jake Blount, Faith Grant, Wyatt Abbott, Preston Bridges, Alayna Tate, Lakelyn Barton and Gunner Barton; twelve great-grandchildren and four nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber Lynn Bridges and brother, Jerry Dale Bridges.
