
A graveside service for Ethelyn Coriene Wiltshire of Black Hawk will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 26, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery near Coila. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time at the cemetery. Rev. Gary Tanner will officiate the service.
Mrs. Wiltshire, 83, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She was born November 30, 1937, in Carroll County to Tom and Lucille Acy Carpenter. She was a charter member of Black Hawk Baptist Church and former member of the Black Hawk Homemakers Club. She was a homemaker that ran a clean house and loved to cook. Before retiring she was co-owner/operator of Black Hawk Cash Grocery.
Mrs. Wiltshire is survived by her husband, Malcolm “Scoot” Wiltshire of Black Hawk; daughter, Quitta Earls (Roger) of Doddsville; sons, Mike Wiltshire (Cheryl) of Coila, and Richie Wiltshire (Shari) of Black Hawk; brothers, Bobby Carpenter (Charlotte) of Oxford and Marvin Carpenter of Vaiden; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; great-grandchild, Clay Chandler; and brother, Nathan Carpenter.
