Fred Otto Tierce, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Fred Otto Tierce, Jr, of Stewart, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Milligan Springs Cemetery near Stewart. Rev. Terry Wills and Rev. Randy Bridges will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Todd Mitchell, Chris Lane, Seth Mitchell, Eddie Lane, Ricky Moore, and Mickey Mordecai.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 11, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mr. Fred Otto Tierce, Jr., 85, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, at his residence in Stewart. He was born to Fred and Annie Lane Tierce on May 4, 1939. He was a member and Deacon of Union Baptist Church in Stewart. He was a loving husband and father. He was a hard worker, usually holding down two jobs. He retired from a meter service and supply company in Memphis. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a Mason for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Nail Tierce of Stewart; daughters, Brenda Stribling (Rommel) of Bruce, and Linda Boatman (George) of Stewart; three grandchildren, Katherine Boatman Rolfe (Michael) of Florida, Mallory Stribling of Hattiesburg, and Meredith Stribling of Bruce; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sonia Etter Tierce; sisters, Martha Jo Mitchell and Jackie Bond; and brother, Lynn Tierce.
