
Funeral services for Mr. James Clark “Jimmy” Hayward, Jr., of Winona, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at The Foundry Church in Winona, with burial following in Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. John Goldwater will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be John Bailey, Chris Green, John Henry Hayward Allman, John Barbour, Trey Allman, Jason Ables, John Luke Clark, and Ricky Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of The Foundry Church, his airport friends, Dr. Jan Bailey, Joe Spencer, Terry Phelon, Harold Pickens, and David Green.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at The Foundry Church.
Mr. Hayward passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at his residence in Winona at the age of 72. He was born in Grenada, MS to James and Kathryn Vance Hayward on February 8, 1952. Mr. Hayward traveled the world working in his field as an Aerospace Engineer. He worked at the Sinai Field Mission in Egypt for eleven years. He was very active in Celebrate Recovery and God’s House of Hope. He was a founding member and elder of the Foundry Church in Winona. He also served on the board of the Winona – Montgomery County Airport.
He is survived by his sister, Linda Kay Barbour of Winona; one niece, Kathryn Allman; one nephew, John Barbour; four great nieces and great nephew, Mary Clair Allman, John Henry Hayward Allman, Emmie Barbour and Hattie Barbour; and a special friend, Jan. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mac Butler.
Jimmy was an amazing man , engineer , pilot , and friend . Lana and I want to tell all his family how sorry for you loss and Jimmy’s gain . His faith in our Saviour Jesus edifies our faith , and reminds of to be absent from the Body is to be present with the LORD. We will miss Jimmy until we are reunited in the Presence of the LORD Jesus.
