Graveside funeral services for Mr. Larry McCorkle of Vaiden will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, immediately following visitation at Vaiden Cemetery. Rev. Terry Corley and Keith McCorkle will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Cole McCorkle, Hunter McCorkle, Grayson Jones, Shane Jones, Josh Abels, and Devin Roberts.
Visitation will be Friday, September 20, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. McCorkle, 79, passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 14, 2024. He was born in Vaiden, MS to Joe Gee and Lillian Estelle Welch McCorkle on November 26, 1944. He was a member of Eskridge Baptist Church and the Winona Masonic Lodge. He was a retired brick mason.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia McGee McCorkle of Vaiden, daughter, Cindy McCorkle Jones (Shane) of Winona; son, Larry Keith McCorkle (Teresa) of Vaiden; stepdaughter, Nicki Hester of Wesson; stepson, Ted Hester, Jr. (Melissa) of Richland; brother, Roy Wayne McCorkle of Winona; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bryant Scott McCorkle; brother, Joe Don McCorkle; and granddaughter, Sunny Blair McCorkle.
