Funeral services for Linda Joyce Bond Barnhill of Winona will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15 in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Bluff Springs Cemetery in Carroll County. Rev. Reidis Nash will officiate the chapel service and Rev. Billy Little will officiate the graveside service. Pallbearers will be Daniel Barnhill, Allen Barnhill, Landon Barnhill, Eli Lewis, Warren Hunt, and Chris Barnhill. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Barnhill, Windell Stoker, Chapel Waldo, Joseph Day, and Todd Morehead.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 15 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.
Linda Joyce Bond Barnhill, 82, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Vaiden Community Living Center. Mrs. Barnhill was born to the late George O’Neal Bond Sr. and Era Chandler Bond in Kilmichael, MS on September 17, 1943. She was a faithful member of Winona Baptist Temple in Winona, MS, until she was physically unable to attend. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also a faithful member of JB Small Chapter No. 19 Order of the Eastern Star, which eventually became Grenada Chapter No. 19 Order of the Eastern Star, where she fulfilled her role with pride. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Edna Malone of Winona and Emily Morehead (Todd) of Winona; four sons, Ronald Ray Barnhill (Gloria) of Kilmichael, Floyd Barnhill of Kosciusko, James Barnhill (Dawan) of Baconton, Georgia, and Bobby Barnhill of Winona; five sisters, Kay Dees (Leon) of McCool, MS, Luna Montague of French Camp, Julia Bond of Kilmichael, Dorothy “Dot” Nail of Winona, and Bonnie Mann of Winona; nine grandchildren, Pamela Henry (Brian) of Mobile, AL, Chris Barnhill (Ashlea) of Muscle Shoals, AL, Rachel Barnhill of Potts Camp, MS, Daniel Barnhill (Cecilia) of Kilmichael, MS, Allen Barnhill (Candace) of Albany, GA, Michael Barnhill of Leakesville, MS, Caitlan Day (Joseph) of Winona, MS, Landon Barnhill of Louisville, MS, and Anna Barnhill of Philadelphia, MS; 18 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Ronald Alton (R.A.) Barnhill; infant son, Donald Alton Barnhill; grandson, Shawn Timothy “Tim” Malone Jr.; sister, Georgia Mae Osborn; five brothers; James Clayton Bond, James Edward Bond, Neal Bond, Billy Bond, Carrol Bond, and James “Bud” Bond.
