Funeral services for Rhodonna Simpson Roberts of Winona will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20 in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. Dean Stewart, Rev. Dale Sorgen, and Rev. Mac Ables will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Brooks Lott, Bailey Lott, Stewart Dickerson, Lane Boyette, Hunter McCorkle, and Justin Hovas.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19 at Oliver Funeral Home; and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, November 20 at the funeral home.

Rhodonna Simpson Roberts, 56, passed away at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson on Friday, November 15, 2024. She was born in Greenwood on June 21, 1968 to Horace Allen and Theodora Williams Simpson. She worked as the Cafeteria Manager for Winona Christian School, where she was devoted and loved all of the kids she served, and was an avid sports fan of everything that was Winona Christian School. She enjoyed spending time outside, especially the times spent with her family sitting on the patio. She was an active member of Kilmichael Baptist Church, who loved her church family and serving them.

She is survived by her daughter, Katie Brooke Roberts of Winona; son, Devin Roberts (Taylor) of Kilmichael; her mother, Theodora Williams Simpson of Winona; three sisters, Tanya Wilson (Terry) of Carmack, Carla Easter (Jay) of Franklin, TN, and Tracy Crouch of Phillip, MS; and one granddaughter on the way, Marlee Elizabeth Roberts. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Hunter “Pete” Roberts Jr.; and grandparents, T.W. and Marie Williams and Allen and Lorene Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Winona Christian School, 1014 South Applegate, Winona, MS 38967.
