Stacey Lucas Beissel

June 13, 1974 – December 16, 2024

Funeral services for Mrs. Stacey Lucas Beissel of Grenada, formerly of Winona, will be held at 2:00 on Thursday, December 19, 2024, with burial following in Winona Garden of Memory. Dr. Kevin Jackson, Rev. Brad Latham, and Mr. Richard Flautt will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Hap Brister, Chris Hathcock, Adam Kirk, Coley Bailey, Rodney Defenbaugh, and Dwight Jones.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 18, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.

Mrs. Stacey Lucas Beissel, 50, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, at her residence in Grenada. She was born in Grenada, MS to Luke and Faye Lucas on June 13, 1974. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada. She graduated from Winona High School in 1992 and continued her education at the University Mississippi Medical Center where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Stacey was a compassionate nurse. She served all her patients with love, dignity and respect. She adored her children and supported them in all their activities. She also loved her cats, Nikki and Motley. Stacey enjoyed listening to music, working in the yard, taking trips with her family, and just being outside.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Canon Beissel of Grenada; daughter, Abby Beissel of Grenada; two sons, Luke Beissel and Chandler Beissel, both of Grenada; parents, Luke and Faye Lucas of Winona; sister, Gwen Davis of Winona; nieces, Rana Paige Davis and Piper Davis, both of Winona; cousins, Stan Rodgers (Heather) of Winona and Lake Rodgers (Mape) of Birmingham, AL; and uncle, Norton Rodgers of Winona. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Gail Rodgers and brother-in-law, Cody Davis.

  3. Stacey was my preceptor when I started my first job at UMC and we were pregnant with our firstborn sons together. Stacey was the most gracious mentor and friend and the most compassionate loving nurse . I cannot say enough about how much I admired Stacey!! My prayers are with you all and will continue to be. I am praying for God’s peace and comfort to be felt!!
