
Graveside services for Sue T. Austin, of Kilmichael, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4 at Poplar Creek Nations Cemetery near Kilmichael. Rev. Don Smith will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Jeff Tompkins, Billy Cummings, Guy Stanford, and Glenn Pearson.
Sue T. Austin, 76, passed away at her home in Kilmichael on Friday, May 2, 2025. She was born to Jimmie Denzle and Jane Rose Kleinkauf Tidwell on January 22, 1949. She was a retired homemaker and an active member of the Friends of Kilmichael Library. She was a member of Poplar Creek Nations Baptist Church near Kilmichael.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Austin of Kilmichael; daughter, Amanda Austin Soileau (Matthew) of Covington, LA; son, James Austin (Emily) of Madison; granddaughter, Madison Soileau; grandson, Andrew Austin; sister, Cathy Edwards of Olive Branch; two brothers, Jimmie Tidwell (Malinda) of Weir and Tommy Tidwell (Diane) of Defuniak Springs, FL; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jo Ann Bell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Poplar Creek Nations Cemetery Fund, 488 Hwy 413, Kilmichael, MS 39747.

Bob and I just heard of the passing of our past neighbor and friend Sue Austin. We have fond memories of spending time together. Our son Chris Elliott and Jamie were young boys at this time and had many great times together. We send our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the family.
